The trailer for “The Hunger Games: Dawn of the Harvest” has been released.
The film is set 24 years before the events of the first movie in the series and after “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.” The story centers on the 50th Hunger Games, where the rules of the brutal competition were changed, increasing the number of participants. Among them is a young Haymitch Abernathy — the future mentor of Katniss Everdeen.
The prequel stars Joseph Zada, Maya Hawke, Elle Fanning, Jesse Plemons, and Ralph Fiennes. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson reprise their roles as Katniss and Peeta. The film is directed by Francis Lawrence, who helmed most of “The Hunger Games” films.
“Dawn of the Harvest,” based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins, will also be released in Russia. The film is scheduled to premiere in Russian cinemas on November 19.
